I've had an AR before. Got rid of it and then with the market flooded again I figured I would just put one together for fun.
I'm not in a hurry for parts. I'm more of a fun project for me to do. If I cared about having one today I would go buy one right now. I bought a lower and a parts kit for it. I need to get an upper(complete or parts) and stock. So if anyone wants to throw out a recommendation I would appreciate it. If anyone has any good how-to links I would appreciate it. I've already printed the guide from here. I actually came here because of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA_Vkb2UB1w Anyway any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Midway has a pretty good "how to video" on Assembling a stripped lower/upper. I just finished my first build/first AR. I only needed a vice for barrel nut / rail assembly. Roll pin punch's and brass / ball peen hammer and roll pin starter punch and your on your way.. OH and upper receiver block is nice. Your not in a rush so you can build a hellva rifle for a good price.

| I agree with looking into palmetto state Armory. I picked up a complete upper on last weekends special just waiting on it to be delivered. There are a bunch of good reviews for their products here and on YouTube. They have great prices and always check their deal of the day and weekend specials, never know what you might find. |
