Is it effected by the Twist rate?
For instance say I shoot the same type of bullet both out of a 16" barrel one through a 1/7 and one from a 1/9 would the bullet trajectory by any different? Thanks |

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that, all else being equal, the 1:7 twist barrel will result in higher pressure which will result in higher muzzle velocity which will result in a slightly flatter trajectory. I doubt the difference is noticeable though. On the other hand, there's more friction caused by the barrel trying to spin the bullet faster and there's more energy needed to get that bullet spinning faster. |
