What would be the best estimate for a bullet drop compensator using the compact acog triangle and post?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Are you wanting to know what ranges the stadia line would represent in a compact acog or are you trying to determine what 5.56 BDC you need?

There is no BDC system for the Compact ACOG.  You're going to have to learn the drop of your round and apply good old 'Kentucky Windage' to solve the problem.

(BTW if you check the manual - there is an excellent chart in there showing the hold off/aiming points for various ranges).

That was the part that was confusing me. He could have meant a chart, but I couldn't remember if the chevron reticle was a range finding reticle like the donut or not.

Thanks Forest.

I know on the ACOG DOS manual it indicates that the 300M mark can be used for sighting in at 25M.  So wherever that line would fall on your chevron/donut/Red Dot of Death should correspond fairly closely.
Of course, it should be confirmed at range.

ETA:  w00t!  Avatars are back!

Sorry I should of been a little more decriptive. I was wondering if the triangle and post stood for any kind of distance. i.e. top of post= 300yds or something like that. I don't own an ACOG yet, right now Im just trying to get as much information as I can. Thank you guys for your help.
