I’m working on removing a neutered Bushmaster A2 Front Sight on what appears to be a factory National Match setup with a float tube under the hand guards.  No bayonet lug and the sling swivel is attached to the float tube.  There are no cross pins holding the A2 sight and no set screws run in from the bottom.  Does anyone remember is Bushy glued or soldered on the A2 sights with this set up?  My impulse is to heat and beat it into submission but I thought I better toss it out before I break anything.
Thanks

That is the same set up that my DCM rifle came in.   The front sight is glued on with the equivalent of red loktite.   Heat and beat.

That's what my gut told me.  I appreciate your input.  I'll feel better putting the torch and hammer to it now.

Keep your powder dry.

Thanks
