I am looking at buying a Bushmaster 20" Chrome-lined National Match Heavy Barrel 1 X 9 twist. I have never dealt with any bushmaster products, how are they as far as quality? Do they make their own barrels or are they made by someone else?

I have the 16" patrolman (non-chrome lined) and it's an honest sub-moa shooter with handloads.  Will it put 10 rounds under 1moa without letting the barrel cool? No, but it will do 5 before the barrel heats up too much.

I have a A3 style Carbon 15, before that model got all weird, mine is identical to an A2 rifle with a flat top receiver, 20" 1/7 Gov't Barrel, shoots an honest minute on irons at 100m.  I was su impressed with it that I'm in the middle of an SPR build on the same rifle leaving the 20" barrel in place.  It outshoots my Ruger SR556 7 days a week.

I converted my M16A2 issue rifle to an M4 while in Iraq in 2004, using a Bushmaster M4 barreled upper receiver and my issue lower. Fired over 3000 rounds in a harsh desert environment with no issues. Bought a BM lower when I got back and the gun I used in war sits in my gun safe.

I have owned many Bushmaster uppers and full rifles sand accuracy has always been exceptional.
I love my current A4 20" Govt profile 1/7.

I'll be able to answer this pretty soon. I have a Bushy 11.5" for an SBR build that's still in bags and boxes. While there is mixed feelings for Bushmaster as a company here, I rarely have seen heartache over the accuracy and quality of their barrels.
