Thinking about getting a dedicated AR in 22LR.  My LGS has a used Bushmaster C22 for $323..  Was wondering if anyone had any experience with it.  They also have the M&P 15-22 sport for $398.  CDNN has the Walther/Umarex/Colt M4 22LR for $329.  I will probably choose from one of these.  Any advice?  Thanks.

If the price is for the Bushmaster is for just an upper that is not to bad.  If this for a complete rifle I'd buy it at that price.  Bushmaster introduced the C22 at the height of the ammo shortage.  There are very few reviews on the C22.  The one advantage of the C22 is it uses a standard AR-15 lower.  The S/W 15-22 will always be a 22 LR.  The Umarex/Colt is a 22 LR in a shell to look like an AR-15.  The Umarex/Colt take a proprietary magazine and can be pricey.  The C22 uses Black Dog Machine mags and can even use a 50 round drum.

My first .22 AR was a CMMG upper on a Spikes lower I assembled.

My son has an S&W M&P-15/22 that I like ALOT better. Great mags, light weight, runs great.

Go for the S&W!

The Bushmaster is the upper and lower together.  The salesman at my LGS was telling me the lower was unreliable since it was carbon fiber.  You're right about lack of reviews for it.  The Walther has as many negative reviews as it does positive.  I have a 6920 so that is the only reason I was considering the Walther.  Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, I am leaning towards the S&W.  I like the Sport with the M-Lok rails.  I will continue to watch videos and read reviews.
