Ok, gang I just took my Bushy Carbon 15 pistol to the range today. I had 4 clips of Lake City 5.56 loaded and another of premium Black Hills 75 Grain BTHP. I burned through the 120 rounds in rapid fire with 0 misfires, jams, FTF, FTE. My pistol is runs 100% right now. If you EVER have any issues with your carbon 15, give Bushmaster a call and be willing to part with your weapon for a max of 1 week. Initially, I had NUMEROUS FTF issues with the bullets getting hung up on the feed ramps. Bushmaster customer support ROCKS. The emailed me a UPS 2nd day air label, I slapped it on a box and sent it off. I am sitting at around 250-300 rounds without a single problem. Sure, I am not in the 10000 round range, but give me some time. I think the Carbon 15 series suffers more from the Para Ord stigma than any real reliability issues. |

I could not disagree more. I purchased the bushmaster 97S pistol just when it came out. It had a lot of FTF, sent it in and after a month they send it back with M4 feed ramps cut in. It ran great but than they messed up the barrel and the muzzle brake would fly off when the pistol was shot. send it back for replacement of the whole upper which took 2 months then they sent it back with a new barrel not replacing the whole upper, took another month to get a new upper. then they forgot to send the muzzle brake back with it. another extra week to get a new muzzle brake. Bushmaster service is rather poor, My 'new' pistol spent more time in the shop than at the range. Wish I had waited an bought it used. |

Once the parts have broke in, most of the Carbons I know of have proven to be very reliable. It's those first few months that convince people that the Carbon is worthless. As to the validity of a product that requires patience instead of working 100% out of the box, opinions vary. But regardless, once it's up and running, the Carbon 15 is a fantastic light weight rifle. ........... To save him the effort of posting, markm's response is that all Carbon's are pieces of crap. |
