| I've got the above and want to get rid of the break. Talked to an AR-15 smith at a gunshow and he said beat the pin out, then add heat to damage the locktight, and twist and pull. I beat the #$%^ out off the pin and it doesn't budge. Any ideas? Heat the brake then pound the pin? |
| I removed the Mini-Y comp off of my dissy to replace the left-leaning front sight tower with an Armalite unit. Drive out the Taper pin. and put some heat to the comp. After I got it hot I put the Comp in a set of barrel vice jaws and twisted the upper back and forth to get it loose, appears they use the Red loc-tite. |
