I've got the above and want to get rid of the break. Talked to an AR-15 smith at a gunshow and he said beat the pin out, then add heat to damage the locktight, and twist and pull. I beat the #$%^ out off the pin and it doesn't budge. Any ideas? Heat the brake then pound the pin?

No damage and no effect. But, sure it's way too much trouble to trade.

I removed the Mini-Y comp off of my dissy to replace the left-leaning front sight tower with an Armalite unit. Drive out the Taper pin. and put some heat to the comp. After I got it hot I put the Comp in a set of barrel vice jaws and twisted the upper back and forth to get it loose, appears they use the Red loc-tite.
