I was interested in purchasing a Bushmaster modular carbine upper receiver/barrel assembly. It comes with front and rear flip up sights, B.M.A.S four rail free-float forend and a fluted barrel. Does anybody own one? Any likes or dislikes about this upper? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..

I think its way to "Pricey". You would be better off buying a regular Bushmaster upper and just preforming the mods you choose.

Besides the price, do you think its a nice setup? I will get dealer cost on it.

I think it's a really nice setup.  If I could get a good price on one I would buy it.  Bushmaster is pretty pricey with the modular carbine.

It's certianly a nice setup. Dealer cost might just change my opinion.

I have one that I ordered as a Parts Weapon Kit with a Six Position Tel-stock prior to the SunSet. Bushmaster now offers it as a complete rifle BCWVML 16FMC with a Skeleton Stock.

They're nice.  If you want a factory built upper with some goodies...its a good choice, price notwithstanding.

I can get the whole modular rifle for right under $1200, so I am thinking I can get a pretty good deal on just the upper. Thanks for the info

You would be missing the chrome lining, but get a J&T lightweight tactical kit for $534, and then pick up the other BMAS stuff from a Yankee Hill dealer.  It's the same thing.
