Hey all,

I'm looking forward to buying my first AR next month, and although I'm considering a Colt LE Carbine, I'm also looking at a Bushmaster, as I've heard nothing but good things about them.  I was hoping you all could answer some questions to help me decide.

Does Bushmaster take custom orders, from the standpoint of just tell them what lower, upper, and barrel you'd like to have on your AR?  I don't see the combination I'm looking for available on their website - this may change after the sunset, but it doesn't look like the basics are there even now.

I'd like to have a Bushmaster equivalent of the Colt LE Carbine.  Specifically, I'd like to get a flat-top 16" upper with the M4 profile and a lower with adjustable stock.  They don't even seem to list a flat-top 16", from what I can see, although the barrel and receiver are available in their parts section.  Can I specify all this through my dealer and have Bushmaster assemble it for me?  I don't have enough experience with building ARs to the point where I'd be comfortable assembling it myself, although I'm sure I'd enjoy learning how to do it.  Should I just order the parts and figure it out myself?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Bushmaster will assemble anything you want as long as they carry the parts you want and do it at no extra cost.

Does it take a lot longer on these orders?

Thanks a lot - that was just what I wanted to hear!
