Hello All, I picked up a complete Bushmaster Upper (Less CH/BCG) in JAN for $325.00. It is an A2 Upper with a Govt profile 16in barrel w/ Birdcage FH. It was a trade in from a local police agency that ran it as a shorty, so the barrel is brand new. It's a 5.56 barrel marked 1/9 twist. I picked up a new CH from a buddy for free and a new BCG for $150.00 from a local gunshow. It has "Broken A" and a "P" forge markings as well.
Right now it has a Magpul MOE Carbine Forend with a light kit and a Surfire M961 w/ pressure switch and a sling adaper. As it sits now it is the Bushmaster dull grey upper reciever... My lowers are a Spikes and an Aero Precision; neither of which are that dull grey color. Is there any way to get that same color "Matte black hard-coat anodized Mil 8625 Type 3 Class 2"?? Or am I stuck with Duracoat/Ceracoat black? Alternatively i'd also like to do a one off match to my Jeep Wrangler in Bright Silver... A little like this: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_127/603217_Freshened_up_the_A2.html It would be a Magpul MIAD, MOE Forend, and a MOE or CTR Stock all in black with the metal in Bright Silver, with the "Jeep" logo on the lower. |
