Bushmaster xm-15 has about 600 rounds through the rifle and I am using factory BM mags and Brownell brand mags. On the range today and I had at least 5 feed problems from different mags 3 from BM mags and a couple from Brownells mag. In each case the round would either stay inside the mag and jam the bolt or would move into somewhat of a stove pipe scenario. Several of the rounds were either dented on the side of the case and on one round the projectile jammed itself deep into the brass case. I am using Remington green/white box .223 ammo. Thanks to anyone with a diagnosis of this issue or steering me in the right direction.

Is your rifle clean?  Is it well lubed?  The BCG should be generously lubed with a quality firearms lubricant (I use Breakfree LP).

Are you using hollow points?  My Bushie is reliable with FMJ only, but it's 100% with FMJ.  I have setback probs with hollow point, so I don't use 'em.

Good points from you guys, I used a combination of FMJ and Hollow points since day one. Yesterday with the issues I was using Hollow points only and maybe there is where the problem lies.
