Would anyone know what type of screw or bolt is used to remove the pistol grip handle on the Bushmaster AR15 ORC. I bought a Houge grip but do not know what tool to use.

Most of them are an Allen head screw. A T-handle hex key will work the easiest. Don't know the size off hand. Some also use a regular slotted screw. Take a flashlight and look in there to see which it is.

When pulling the grip, the selector detent and spring are contained by the pistol grip.

Loosen/remove the bolt while holding the grip in place, that as you remove it, catch the spring and detent. The spring will be in the pistol grip spring channel, and if the detent down not fall out, it will be in the receiver channel just above the spring.
