Went looking for an A3 20" today and came across a Bushmaster. The overall quality is ten times better than the BM I got a few months back. There was no slop in the handgaurds, blemishes in the finish, and no play between upper and lower. It actually feels like what it costs.

The finish still seems cheap and thin compared to my DMPS and Oly, but all in all I can say it looks like BM's quality is on the rise. Maybe they are recovering from the buying frenzy and finally pulling to together.

For those worried about Bushy's QC during these shortages, it looks like they back to normal

i have seen a some bushmaster no-ban shortly after and didnt notice any problems though what your saying makes sense.

demand was at its peak and they did what they did to supply.

i have seen some of the commando 20" m-4 no-bans and they looked real nice! maybe it was because the fh, collaps stk, and bayonet lug clouding my judgement

I would imagine that the quality of ALL manufacturers has gotten a little slack lately. With all of the orders for AR's flying in and out the door somewhere, someone will eventually cut small corners. Its good to hear that there are some "better quality" arms coming in though.

I just received an M4 profile barrel assembly from them, and everything looked great.

I bought a Bushy M4 in January, that was delivered at the store in November 04.

Flawless.  Zeroed at mechanical zero right out of the box.  Better then a damn Colt any day,  The Bushy finish is perfect IMO.

I see why the special ops boys in Blackwater like them so much,.

I have bought two Bushmasters M4 carbines in the last couple of months.  The fit and finish on both were excellent.
