Well, I took my one year old Bushie out to Gibson's to basically see if it actually ran. It is a Complete lower from RSR distibuting and a tax time upper straight from bushmaster. You can see all the stuff on that I put on it. I arrived at 4:30 PM. and set up on bench five, the bad is that they are really old and crash early so they close at 5:30. I forgot my damn eye wear and binocs but the rented me a spotting scope for 3 bucks. I learned at that moment that I need to buy a spotting scope. Thats next.

I brought my 4 30 rd. P Mags and a GI 20 rounder. I used S & B 193. I had one hundred rounds. I don't have any pics. because I haven't shot in two years and shooting is not like riding a bike. My best group was the size of a 50 cent piece, I cant help you young bucks on that size.

I only used 3 to 4 rounds per mag at a time. At 50 yard it was easy to dial in the aimpoint. The only deal that the aimpoint was either too light or to dark. I picked the target with the 6 inch diamond in the middle and 4, 3 inch diamond in each corner. I did alright with the grouping in general but I need more practice, plus I wasnt using a sling.

The gun has the blue insert in the extractor, the staking was sufficient, and as the FSB is concerned, it is not F marked, The BUIS sighted in OK due to my abilities. I did not need the taller FSP. In fact I didn't have to do any elevation adjs. Just windage on the matech.

I warmed the gun up while I waited for the next cease fire. I set up and went at it. Then I had what I thought was a mis fire, nope the bolt catch didnt function. Then after a couple of mag testing, I found out that one of my P Mags was screwed up in some fashion that the bolt was catching on the follower and the P Mag was not pushing up on the bolt stop, some times with that mag it wouldn't even catch the bolt. Hmmm. I email them tomorrow. The date is 7/07 and is the mag. I got for Christmas.

I got home an cleaned everything and inspected the staking and what not and loaded  the three P mags with 27 rounds and the 20 with 19. I divided one hundred rounds between the mags.

After all I did, I think everything went 100% for the rifle and Bushmaster does it again with another quality product. I cant say what will hold for the future.

Thanks
REX

Thanks for the RR. Anyone else got a report on their tax time upper?

Awesome! I would add a black buffer and 5-coil spring though, that is current spec across the board, rifle or not. Also, you can load PMAG's with 30 rounds and they will seat just fine on a closed bolt. They were designed with the correction of that flaw in mind (unless you just wanted to divide your 100 rounds = ).

Sounds like you had a safe, fun time! +1 and congrats on your purchase!
