There are currently Bushmaster rifles starting with the serial prefixes "L" and "BFI" I believe.

What are the differences between those two. Is any one of them "superior" to the other?

"L" are made by LAR MFG. The examples I have/ have seen appear to have better machining and finish over the "BFI". Dunno who makes the latter, but neither match the machining/finish of my recent production Stags...

I have both. There is no apparent difference.

older one's start with L back when bushmaster was having someone else make them
the newer one start with BFI, now that bushmaster makes them for themselves
