[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bushmaster serial numbers

Most bushmaster serial numbers I've seen start with a "L or BFI" designation. The one I have starts with "ARB"..I am curious to why I seem to have a odd serial number...I have google searched and have tried to contact Bushmaster via email with not much luck. Its a m4a3 patrolmans carbine 90289. I thought maybe because bushmaster was acquired by cerberus/ freedom group but I have since seen the "normal" serial numbers that I referred to..Any information would be appreciated..thanks

Newer Illion, NY production I believe.

My NY Bushmaster begins with LBM. Purchased in 2012.
