Im looking into buy my first AR and looked at one of this at my local gunshop and really like it, How good of a rifle is this comparing to a aluminum (tradicional) AR? , been lighter how does that affects felt recoil?, I have never shot a AR! but plenty of hand guns so just want get a good all around rifle and to be able to have fun!!!

The final decision is of course yours, BUT, I personally would go with a traditional AR.
More parts, more accesories, and at about the same price.

I have the pistol version of the Carbon 15 and love it.  The M4 version should be compatible with most (all?) AR accessories.

Learn to shoot on an A2 platform (20" or 16", iron sights or flat-top with carry handle), then mess with the 'cool' stuff...

+2 and dont mess with a carry handle just get a flip up iron sight, they are the same price and you can use them once you move up to a dot sight some day.

yep i agree with the others so far.


but i did handle one at a recent funshow and it was really light! i almost bought it but i went with just enough cash for other things.


get the basics first.  but then again its your money.


its not bad looking and feels real nice. havent shot one yet so if you get it let us know how it goes
