Looking for the old style CAR stocks.  Anyone know who stocks these?  Only one I found was Cactus Tactical, but they're sold out.

ETA: Found.  Galati.

I have a question regarding this.

i just bought a DoD stamped Colt m4 on a m16A1 lower.

It is originally fitted with a mil spec CAR type stock.  When i look at the sandbox pictures I see both m4's with the CAR stock and also with the M4 stock..

What is the M4 real stock ? the CAR or the new one ? why both are in use ?

The look of the CAR is not bad, but I feel that the new one can be better shouldered. Is there an explanation for those 2 different stock in use ?

The "CAR" style stocks are the original design. The "M4" stocks are the newer, "improved" design. Both are still in use. The CAR stocks will prolly be cycled around until they break. I would imagine that Colt ships all of their M4's to the mil with the M4 stock now. & prolly have for the last several years.
