I bought a 308 upper from CBC industries a while back. I know, I know......but I took a chance anyways.
They said it used a DPMS 308 take down pin. So, I bought a genuine DPMS LPK. The take down pin is way undersized for the upper. Does anyone know if I got a dud upper, or does anyone make a larger take down pin that might work? My choices thus far are: 1. Finding or making a new correct size pin and drilling out my lower to accept it. 2. Welding up the hole in the upper take down tab and redrilling to the correct size 3. Send it back to CBC and hope they fix it. Any help is appreciated. swampie |

Are you saying the diameter is larger?
Any pics? There was a shill here a while back dropping that source left and right, talking about how awesome they were, CBC this, CBC that. I would contact the company and ask for a refund. The fly-by-night types are not worth taking a risk with in my experience. I wouldn't expect them to get a single aspect of the design correct. |

Yes the hole is to big.
CBC has agreed to fix it. They have a 30 day money back guarantee IF you pay full price. I got it on sale several months ago so......no refund. Other than that 1 problem, the assembly looks and feels nice. We shall see how it all plays out. |
