I am building my first project AR. It is a CDNN M16A1 upper/ CMMGINC.com lower. They say they will coat it in “Colt Grey”; I will post pictures once it is assembled. I do have a few questions if any one can help me out.

1. The old style hand grips are loose at the gas block end of the gun, how can I fix this?
2. Where can I get a civilian legal complete bolt for this upper?
3. What color were the charging handles from this era?

I appreciate any suggestions.
-Thanks,

If the handguard cap itself is loose at the block, then you can you might be able to fix it with loctite.  Just use a generous application at the gap between the cap and the gas block on both sides.  Let it sit over night and then do it again.  I did this to my upper 5 years ago and it has held up through a couple thousand rounds without becoming loose again.  Just make sure you degrease the area first.
