Ok so in the last couple months on this forum i have seen the word CLP a million times.  I was at walmart today and saw a can of break free CLP for $4 so i picked it up. What can i use this stuff for?

Do i use it like hoppe's cleaning solution? Or oil after im done cleaning?  Or can i use it to put on the patches to clean, then spray some on to oil too?

Yes the can will work for everything on an AR.  However I use the CLP that comes in a plastic bottle.  The one in the bottle seems to be thicker and personally works better for me.

ETA: Master QUIB should be here soon to chime in.

Cleaner, Lubricant & Protectant (CLP)

Yes, you can use it for all three.  It's a better than most oils, some consider it the best, for lubing the AR.  Of course we'll go 7 pages long arguing which oil is the best.

Spray bottle works, but the liquid in a bottle is better, allows you to put a drop at each of the key places to properly lube instead of spraying the whole thing down.  If you see it in the little squirt bottle, grab it.

You rang?

I won't go into details about CLP here in this tread, since there are I believe two threads going at the moment where I piped in with my thoughts on BF CLP.

ETA: One of todays CLP topics.
