Is there really supposed to be that much side to side play in the pins? Seems as if one was jarred hard enough, the c-slip would pop right off.

that play is normal. For some reason when I put my KNS pins in it dropped the trigger pull half a pound and it was light before that. I don't really dig KNS pins so I sold the trigger and got an ALG. YMMV. My mileage didn't vary. Sold mine too, and went with the ALG ACT and couldn't be happier. |

So the play on the trigger pins is normal and not a problem but bothers people? Am I right? I just got one and havent had a chance to install it yet so this is pretty interesting to me.

Why wouldnt you go Timney or Geissele or one of the many other reputable good triggers out there? |

The ALG ACT feels lighter than it really is, especially compared to my other fcg's (DD and Spikes). It actually feels smoother than my CMC triggers. It's not entirely a pull weight ordeal what so ever IMO. I like both. On top of that I like both flat and curved. To the op, pin side to side is normal. 2 options. KNS pins, but if you don't like the anti rotation ordeal which is not needed, just get some JP pins. Problem solved. Beware JP pins come with screws coated in loc-tite and you would want to remove it with a razor blade before installing (and adding a drop or so of liquid loc tite. Many cases of stripped heads due to jp using too much loctite on theirs). |
