So with the rising ammo prices I finally got a 22 conversion for some training days.
I got the bolt, but noticed the cotter pin and the extractor pin stick out a little. should I be concerned? Should I cut them back so they sit below flush of the bolt body? gut tells me that they should be, but not sure why these two aren't. It seems like a good way to gouge something up. I checked and they're as far as they would go.

Fire at will - the bolt will cycle because it operates back and forth on the rail not touching inside of the receiver like the standard are BCG. The conversion kit rail is the only thing that touches the upper receiver.
