I just ordered a CMMG .22lr conversion kit for my AR.  Anyone have input on quality of performance and best .22lr ammo to run through my AR with the kit?
Thanks

For plinking, Federal 550 Bulk or Winchester 555 Bulk copper wash sold at Walmart does well
CCI Standards, Mini Mags, Subs, Green Tag.
Remigtons is not recommended.. The bullet profile is slightly different and can cause cycling/feeding problems. Very dirty too.

I always try to use a copper wash ammo. Leaves less gunk.

This is what I would say. I only had two FTE when the kit was new. It has run perfect since that time. I have shot just over 1K rounds of Win.555. I am very happy overall.

remington sucks in them.  mine buldges casings with some of them even rupturing, cycling problems galore stemming from it.

nary a problem from federal

Never use the Rems in mine either. Agree with Fed, or Win. copper washed probably psychological more than physically less dirty. Clean periodiclly ( I do every 100-200 rounds)with a Gun blaster type cleaner and a bore snake. then  switch bolts and fuire several 5.56 rounds to blow out the gas tube and function check normal ammo use. Some have reportrd gunking up badly after 500 rounds. I haven't had any issues with mine in a Stag.
