Okay, so it's technically not an AR-15, but I'm considering picking up a CMMG MK3 3GR .308 upper.  I don't think it'll come with a BCG or charging handle, but those are easily fixed.  My question is about lowers.  Is there a preferred "budget" lower assembly for AR-10s?  I'd prefer one that was built, but I would be willing to try my hands at putting one together.  My go-to lowers so far have been Bushmasters for my AR-15s, but this would be my first .308 platform.

Any help is, as always, welcome.  Thanks!

If you are using a CMMG upper...stick with their lower.  CMMG makes pretty decent parts and you won't have to worry so much about your build starting out as a crap shoot.  AR-10s and budget are two words that are realllllly hard to use in the same sentence without the word NOT falling somewhere in between them

You may also consider buying something like an A Model Armalite DEF-10 which is a VERY affordable gun with VERY good specs.  They can be had somewhere in the 1k range....maybe just a bit more.
