Okay, so it's technically not an AR-15, but I'm considering picking up a CMMG MK3 3GR .308 upper. I don't think it'll come with a BCG or charging handle, but those are easily fixed. My question is about lowers. Is there a preferred "budget" lower assembly for AR-10s? I'd prefer one that was built, but I would be willing to try my hands at putting one together. My go-to lowers so far have been Bushmasters for my AR-15s, but this would be my first .308 platform.

You may also consider buying something like an A Model Armalite DEF-10 which is a VERY affordable gun with VERY good specs. They can be had somewhere in the 1k range....maybe just a bit more. |
