Well CMMG 22 Semi Auto guns have finally landed in the UK and I have to say Im well impressed with mine.

Its the closest thing to a real M4 we can have in the UK as our fullbore versions are all manual operation.

The function of my CMMG M4 is flawless except for one thing and thats the BHO device. At first it operated fine and then started to play up and now wont operate at all. Ive adjusted the actual BHO device in all ways with no effect.

Has anyone else had this problem and can they shed any light on it? Im thinking its more than likely dirt in the magazine preventing the follower coming up that last we bit. Ive cleaned the gun several times and that makes no difference. Ive not cleaned the mags and thats about the last thing I can think of.

It's not going to work if you keep calling it that!

BHO is not to be said to the weapon, it has respect after all.

If you haven't already go to the Industry Section, CMMG Inc and make this same thread there.
You can also do a search there on Bolt Hold Open Assembly or BHOA. There are write ups in
that section of ARFCOM that may solve your issues or atleast you'll be in an area that the
factory reviews from time to time. Good Luck, I hope this helps you...

PS, Carefully cleaning the magazines and follower with a dry Q-Tip may help too...

Most likely the bolt catch spring is too stiff. I cut one or two coils off mine and it functions 100%.
The mag spring has to overcome the bolt catch spring. A quick fix is to put an o-ring around the bolt catch paddle to relieve tension of the spring.
