| anyone have the skinny on CMMG LPK's? I'm planing on ordering a CMMG complete upper half when I build my rifle, was thinking about getting the LPK from the same vendor as well. how does CMMG rank up there? I know their products come with a lifetime warranty so I'm assuming they're pretty good. On par with RRA/LMT/CMT ect ect? |

I just finished a build a couple of weeks ago using a MEGA lower, CMMG LPK, Magpul MIAD, CTR and enhanced trigger guard and a CMMG SST 16' Middy upper. I have used Stag/CMT and DPMS LPK's before. I was very pleased with the CMMG LPK. I would not hesitate to use them in my future builds. Cheers, RS |

Just got done building a Mega lower with a CMMG LPK as well. The only problem I had was with the trigger guard and roll pin. The hole that the trigger guard pivots on was drilled too small and the roll pin was slightly over sized. Everything else went together well. I guess I now have an excuse for a magpul MIAD. I've also used RRA, and RB Precision LPK's and personally, based on my experience, RRA has been the nicest. I didn't have a single problem with the RRA kit. RRA uses coiled roll pins, which I like better. CMMG uses split roll pins. I do like that the CMMG kit uses the rounded hammer, though. The fact is everyone lets out a bum part now and again. Maybe I was spoiled by such a trouble-free first build. |
