I was on the CMMG site. They sell both single and double heat shield M4 style hand guards. I was wondering, are the double heat shield handguards Colt? I was just wondering because most off brand manufactures only use one heat shield.

Doesn't Colt still hold the patent on double heat shields?

I have a set from CMMG and they are double layered. Hope this helps.
