Does anyone have a M4 upper from CMMG? Do they have all DPMS parts? Does the finish match the new Colt finish? I'm thinking of buying one of these instead of a Colt if the quality is there. Thanks, CMS |

I have one. I just rcvd it a couple of weeks ago. I ordered it on a Monday and rcvd it on a Wednesday, so you can count on really fast shipping. As far as quality, it is top notch. The color is very close to my RRA lower and the fit is really tight. Someone asked them to reveal the manufacturers of their uppers and bbls and they answered something to the effect that it was a secret??? You can see that conversation in the EE under ar15 parts new. Here is a pic of mine mounted on RRA lower.  FWIW the website says the uppers are CBEngineering Machined here is the description from their website: 16" MOD4A3 New MOD4A3 16" Chrome Lined 1/7 w/ A2 Hider. This upper comes with MOD4 handguards and is complete with bolt, carrier and charging handle. Upper receivers are "T" marked and include feed cut ramps. 5.56 chamber. |

I have a CMMG MOD4A2, the quality is definetely there. I'm not sure about the match with Colt lowers though, mine is on an Ameetec lower. The only thing I believe is DPMS is the bolt and carrier, the upper and barrel are supposedly CMMG's own stuff and not DPMS. The barrel is marked CMMG. I'll tell you this, I had a few problems with my upper, but CMMG is the best there is at trying to fix problems. Most people don't have any problems with CMMG at all, I'm just saying in the rare event you do, they will take care of it to your satisfaction . |
