Okay if the swap meet goes good on saturday I get to buy a new upper I have decided on a 14.5 with perm hider. Now here is the ? Is the polished and exteded feed ramps needed. It will not be full auto. Also should I ger government or socom profile thanks guys.

I've got both 14.5s in Gov't and SOCOM at this point.  There is a difference, but
it's not that noticable IMO.  I've never been a big fan of the Gov't profile on any
barrel length, but can appreciate the weight difference on the longer tubes.  If
possible, heft 'em both at a dealer or show and see what you think.  Not sure
who besides Colt and CMMG makes a SOCOM weight bbl.

Polished ramps not needed.  

Gov't profile.  Much lighter, and balances better.  

My opinion.  Others may feel differently.
