Has anyone else experienced any problems with their CMore Scout Sight holding a zero?  I have it on a Bushmaster M4 with an A2 carry handle mount.  The sight sits just forward of the carry handle.  I think the problem lies with the temperature change, and the lenth of the mount.  Any suggestions with fixing the problem without buying a flat top upper?hinking.gif

Are you using a gooseneck mount?

Yes, if that is what you call it.  I have heard it described as a cantilever mount?  It rides over the top of the carry handle and then drops down.  The sight sits over the handgaurds.  I think the change in temperature causes the metal to expand or contract, thus changing the point of impact in regards to elevation.  Windage is not affected.

That type of mount should be pretty "solid".

The fact of the matter is that there are people here, myself included, that have Cmore's and have experienced problems with it holding a zero. I have in fact managed to ruin my Cmore by breaking its plastic  housing from over tightening of the adjustment locking screws.

That being said, there are other folks here who have and use Cmore's and have not encountered the same problems we have.

I know Cmore to be a very reputable maker of optics. I know these type of optics have been used by a lot of practical shooters and have no complaints about it's reliability.

WHY it seems to fail on AR's - ON SOME CASES - is what puzzles me .... and is just a fact of life around here.

To be quite honest Cmore's suck as rifle optics. And based on this thread you know why. Those that have not had problems with Cmore sights are weekend shooters and not people who use their weapons for work.

The OKO is a similar design but was executed much better. I've been using one on my primary carbine for almost three years with no problems.
