That's gonna cost an an awful lot.  The raw forgings are usually bought only by people with the necessary tools.

Good luck.

What you've got there are 3 paperweights.

Educate me as to why you would want a non machined upper?

I get the lower. I mean I would never consider it, but I get it.

The upper..........I have no idea why anyone would want one. Under any circumstances.

The two circumstances I can think of:

1) A literal paperweight.  I have a raw lower forging on my desk at work.  It's a handy paperweight, cudgel, and conversation starter.

2) For those that do have the tools and expertise, there's the gratification of building it yourself.  What most of us call "building an AR" is really *assembling* an AR.  Machining a forging with a CNC program you wrote, or on a manual machine, is quite a skill.  Hobbyists of all types build things rather than simply buy them so they can say "I did that."

We build them every day and its a pain in the ass.

I second that... The upper forgings are the worst. It's like trying to machine an aluminum taco. These things move around so much it's silly.
