I am looking at picking up 3 Milspec CTR's and need a little help I have found site supporting dealers selling them ranging from $65 to $90+. Do all CTR's come from the factory with the rubber butt plate or could that be where the differance in price comes from?

All the CTR stocks I have came with rubber buttplates...I use DSG Arms or Rainier Arms for most of my parts.

Magpul recently reduced the price on the CTR and some retailers have been quicker than others at following suit.  Another +1 to DSG and Rainier as well.

Check Aimsurplus as well.  They often have the same price as others, but with rpfree shipping on magpul stuff.

I think what you are looking at, on the low end pricing spectrum, is the airsoft version and on the higher prices the real thing. Prices should be right around $75.00 with the new pricing from Magpul. just my $.02

Will the risers made for the CTR work with the charging handle?  Anyone actually done it?

Oh, and cheaper than dirt has them for $65.

MAGPUL website says that the .3 inch rubber butt pad comes standard with all CTR stocks- http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG315/31

I think it will work if you have the stock extended out pretty much all the way...surely it would have to other wise no one would ever use it.

Why do you need a riser any way?

Only with the stock fully out, in most cases. You might want to check into the Larue R.I.S.R.

That's weird. The pics on the website show the stock without the rubber buttpad. That's good to know.
