11/17 - Per Magpul's request I shipped the CTR back for repair, based on the non issue really I was going to just keep it as is. They sent me a brand new one instead of repairing the used one. They did this to fix something that wasn't even a big issue to begin with!!!!This industry needs more companies like MagPul.  Thanks Gentlemen.....
------------------------------------------------

I have a couple topics I'm rolling into one.  Probably not proper but I really don't need 2 threads.

1) LMT SOPMOD - looks like a very nice stock.  Any feedback pros or cons would be great.  Planning to order an LMT complete lower and I'm not sure if I want to spend the extra $$ for the SOPMOD.  Have actually never had a chance to look at one first hand..

2)  Have a couple CTRs. The black one's "locking latch" is dropping down after about 40 - 60 rds.  Love the stock, don't really like the fact that the lock lever doesn't "snap" in when engaged. Do any of your locking latches positively snap into the locked position?  Going to let MagPul know via a letter.  Don't need to swap it out as it takes ohh about 1 second to re-lock it. Just figuring they might want some product feedback..

On the CTR. Some early preproduction models had a lighter detent spring. This was upgraded to a stronger spring which is standard on the production models. I shot about 500 rounds out of an M4 2 weeks ago and the lock stayed put.

Send the stock back to us and we will swap it out with another.

The production models don't click either when closed, they just don't pop open when firing. Only the very first batch of CTRs had this 5 lbs detent which we replaced with a 7 lbs detent very early on.

If you want a SOPMOD, get it on an LMT lower and save yourself a bunch of money.

They do cost too much for what you get but an $80 difference beats the hell out of $200 buying it later.

It's definately worth the added cost, at least in a world where a TD VFG is worth $60+!

They are very tight on the buffer tube and cheek weld is the cat's ass in my book.

You guys are first class and this is the reason, besides the high quality, that I buy your products with confidence.

Folks if you haven't checked out the CTR yet get one!   Make sure you have or pick up a mil spec tube with it.
