I can't seem to get my V22 to eat a full magazine.  The problem I am getting is that the bolt will travel far enough to eject and chamber, but not reset the hammer.  Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem?  Thanks

Change the springs. There is a thread on gunbroker where a guy used 'modified' pen springs..and it solved the problem but he ended up getting 2 shot bursts as a side effect.

He wouldn't say how he modified a pen spring....either cut it down or stretch it to the length of the original springs.

You might solve the problem by disassembling and spraying some dry lube into the upper receiver. oil everything and reassemble.

I tried the lube, still have the problem.  I thought about changing the springs, but wasn't sure where to get one that would work.

Your hammer spring is probably too stiff.  This will solve you problem with $0 invested.

Have you changed ammo? When my V22 was new it would only cycle reliably with high velocity ammo (I used CCI mini-mag). Now that it's had a few thousand rounds through it accepts lighter loads, and absoloutely loves Eley Pistol. I have even put a lighter hammer spring in and it's still fine with most sub-sonics I have tried (Winchester T22 is good).

Other than that, if it was working fine before, is something binding? A friend of mine hardly ever cleans his V22 and is then surprised when it jams or fails to feed.

It's clean, I clean regularly.  I am going to try the advice and trigger job directions from kevinski.  At this point, I will try anything.

It's your hammer spring. It is too stiff. when I designed the V22 that was the hardest part about trying to get the balance of the system right. The hammer springs just vary way too much and there is not much power in the system for the litle 22LR. One simple way is to let the leg of the hammer spring that does not sit in the detent of the trigger axel pin rest on the floor of the receiver. This usually weakens the spring just enough to get one to work but it does not always work. there are after market hammer springs that are lighter and I suggest getting on for the V22.

Mongo,

Thanks for that little bit of info.  My little CZ project is having problems with the bolt too.  I tried ramping the bolt, rounding the edge over, different springs on the bolt system, but still problems.

I will try to let the spring rest on the floor, then try a lighter hammer spring.  Maybe this will solve my problem!!!
