Who made an A1 style upper stamped C H? The C is a little higher than the H. It does not seem like it is supposed to be "CH" but more like a C and an H.

That picture is exactly what I have. So... Who the hell is this harvey guy? Was this from when they first started forging uppers? Did they ever cast uppers?

Well, they were an aluminum company Harvey Aluminum forged the receiver, Colt did final machining on it.


Was this from when they first started forging uppers?


I believe the early ones were not marked, and receivers started being marked when other companies started building rifles.
(hopefully someone who knows their s**t will come along and provide a better explanation)


Did they ever cast uppers?


I don't believe Colt ever used cast receivers. (or made their own forgings)
