I have on that is plastic and one thats aluminum. Which is the "correct" stock? I haven't installed the Aluminum one on a full rifle yet. Im assuming it might help to balance the rifle out?

CAR stocks were made from aluminum first, then the plastic. These were meant for carbines, not rifles. But the good thing is that you (we) can do what ever we want with our ARs
