Are there any special instructions that I need to follow after I dip my parts in this magical elixir? I usually shoot the part with compressed air and wipe it down but I have noticed that after I lube the part, the texture feels gummy. I'm concerned that CC2000 is breaking down the lubricant as well. I heard that I was supposed to rinse the parts off with warm water after using CC2000. |
| If you talking about the Slip 2000 Carbon Cutter, it's a water based product and it does strip all your oil protection from the metal parts. Yes you should re lube after rinsing the cleaner off. The carbon Cutter does not offer any lubrication properties and the label warns to re lube after cleaning with it. Hope this helps. |

CarbON cutter 2000 works wonders. It is gummy because you did not rinse it off after removing the part. It will strip the lubrication from the metal to the point where it feels grippy when you're rinsing it out. It's good stuff for cleaning gun parts. Let it soak overnight for maximum cleaning power. |
Just rinse it off with water? |
