[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Carrier key problems?

Ok Im a lil worried here. I have a new bushy carbine. When I checked the carrier key, the very front looks a lil bit chewed up around edges at very end. Seems to be firing ok, but I dont reacll this or see it on any of my other AR's. Bushmaster says its "normal" to have a lil roughness there but shouldnt be bent, split, or cracked...im not sure about this...any info?

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a new key, and it lokked less than smooth around the edges also. I guess my other AR's (2) are smooth becasue they are wore in . I put the bolt in and slid it back and forth, checking where the gas tube enters the key. They seem to fit alright and are aligned well..Dont fix it if it aint broke right?
