Alright, it has been said that "the only stupid question is one that isn't asked" however I not sure whoever said this ever envisioned this thread.

Here it goes: If you zero a rifle using the detachable carry handle, remove that handle, and then reattach it to the rifle will it have remained zeroed (barring anyone messing with the adjustable sights)?

Please be kind - I have never owned, or even shot, an AR with a detachable carry handle.

Depends on the c.h... Any good c.h will return to zero or w/ in a click or two...

True. And any good scope and ring combination will do the same. Given a good base

Yea once you zero it you should be GTG.

To fit in the GI arms room storage racks, the carry handle must be removed and moved back one slot. Then when issued they are replaced. So yes, assuming quality stuff not cheap chicom crap, a handle should return to zero, or very close to it.
