| Recently, I bought a BCM upper. I also bought a used carry handle from somebody to go on top, since it isn't meant to be "pretty," just work. I took it out yesterday to sight it in, and I had to switch the front sight post out for a .040 taller one (of which I keep several on hand.) I use the Revised Improved Battlesight Zero posted by Molon on all my ARs. Now I know BCM uses the taller "F" marked FSB. Why would I need the taller post in this? I may very well could have used the one that came with it, but it would have been backed out almost to the point of falling out of the FSB. I guess my question is this: Is there a difference in the height of A3 carry handles, or are they all manufactured to the same height? The one I bought is marked A2 on the left back top, just in front of the adjustable sight tower. No other markings on it at all. Does anybody know who made this handle? I have seen a list of manufacturers, but haven't seen this particular mark listed. Should I get a new one, or is this one good to go? |
