| Does anyone know what makers Colt uses? I have two carry handles that are suppose to be from 6920's, I know one has the square mark on it? Another thread states that is BAFE? I cannot remember the other without opening the safe but I know it did not have a C on it anywhere. I would hope neither of these are the 29.99 version seen on Gunbroker :0( They seem quality. |

Colt and a number of other manufacturers don't mark their detachable carry handles so there's no positive way to identify them, this had been discussed in past threads.
Forging markings can't be relied on because a raw forging supplier supplies different manufacturers. Yes you're correct the square forging marking is made by BAFE, and my new Colt 6721 I bought a couple of months ago have the same marking on its carry handle, but like I said if you only have the carry handle there is no way of knowing for sure. |

I think the same way that Colt does makes their own carry handles since they have a large machining capability and that's the only way they could control their components quality. My Colt detachable carry handle from my new 6721 have a very smooth surface inside the finger slot, no forging flash at all, compared to my older 2004 carry handle which have a very sharp and rough forge flash. |
