is there a real difference in carry handles that are $20 compared to more expensive? There is a big difference in quality. The $20 ChiCom carry handles are made from cheap castings using the cheapest possible components. If you are having a hard time finding a good carry handle that doesn't break the bank I can help. If you are either: A) A veteran or a first responder B) Or willing to make a donation (in any amount) to the Wounded Warrior Project I will happily ship you a new OEM Colt carry handle taken off of one of my personally owned rifles, for free No strings, I'm just happy to help. I have a shoebox full of carry handles that I'm not using, and I'd be happy to part with one. Just keep in mind that a Colt handle may not be the best looking part you've ever seen, but by God it will never break. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
| I don't know from experience but I've read the cheap carry handls are not very good. Personally sights are not something I would go cheap on especially if they are going to be your primary sights. The cheapest I would go is the Magpul MBUS. I have a couple pairs of them and I am pleased with thier quality. |
| A cheap CAA carry handle resides on my wife's AR. It has held zero over the past ~4 years she's had it, but <1k rounds have been shot through it. I would NOT expect elevation adjustments to be accurate or repeatable compared to a Colt or even a Stag carry handle. |
