I have a Stag M4 flattop upper on which I have mounted a Bushmaster carry handle with A2 sights. When I took it to the range to zero it, I had to crank the rear sight almost all the way to the left to be on target. It works but it sure looks funny. Is this normal?

a few clicks of adjustment are normal...all the way to the left/right in not normal...

is your front sight base canted?

Agree, not normal.  Remove and try again from scratch.  Keep same turn pressure on both front and rear knobs.

FSB is canted or the barrel indexing is off.

My Del-Ton upper had this issue, only to the other side ... I had to drift my rear sight all the way to the right and still could barely hit the paper.

On inspection, my FSB was canted to the right a couple degrees.

They gave me an RA and I sent it back ... the upper is on its way back right now and I ought to have it back Thursday. Not sure what they did to fix it, but I'll be looking closely.

My Bushmaster ultra lite upper has the same problem. The front sight tower cants right. I sent it back for repair and they said it was in spec. I can live with it, but it's obviously off. Bushmaster's QC has gone south in my opinion......
