I was wondering if Rock River Arms AR's come with a carrying case? I was gonna look into getting one from Galati like the Galati one I have for my AK then I thought maybe the rifle comes in a case instead of a cardboard box like my AK. When you got your RRA AR-15 did it come in a carrying case or just a cardboard box?

RRA's come in a box.  Bushmasters come with a cheap plastic case.

I read a pretty favorable article about Galati cases not long ago and was thinking about picking up one of their XT line cases as another soft case.  I'm also thinking about an I-Shot SERT case too.

But, I'm getting ahead of myself.  My next case will be a Pelican 1720 for my brand new SBR!

My current case is a Blackhawk Discreet Rifle Case.  I like it a lot for what it is, but it could be improved by adding some plastic substrates to stiffen it up.  When I bought it, I was deciding between it and the Eagle version.  I'm a made-in-America kind of guy and was leaning towards the Eagle, but one fatal flaw caused me to buy Blackhawk.

The Eagle case has the mag pouches on the inside, right up against the rifle.  That just seems like a poor design to me.  The Blackhawk case has the mag pouches in the outside pocket.

My RRA Entry Tac came in a blue "Saf-T" case which requires you to take the upper and lower receivers halves apart to store it in this case.  It isn't much of a hassle, I guess but I wanted to keep my rifle together when I went to the range so I got one of those Galati Discreet cases.  I almost got the Eagle Discreet case but Wiskur was out of stock of them so I got the Galati one.  Bushmaster comes with the large inexpensive (a.k.a. *cheap*) plastic clamshell case which has egg carton foam inside.  Good enough to lug to the range and good protection for the cost.

Older RRA's come in a cardboard box, newer ones come in a blue plastic case, but you have to break the upper and lower apart to put it in the blue case.

Get another case for it, you'll not regret it!

Thanks for the clarification.  I thought I was taking crazy pills for a second.

Nope, you're not that crazy.

Bushmaster, DPMS, & Stag all come in the same cheap plastic hard case.  Colts come in boxes.  Don't remember what the DSA, LMT, or a few of the others come in.

LMT's come in what ever the dealer ships the separate upper and lower in.

My RRA came in a box.  I like Galati soft cases.  I have a few, and they are very weel made and sturdy, with plenty of storage.
Here is a link to a thread where I did a small review of the Galati cases, with pics:
