I am almost finished with assembling my first lower and I have a question about my castle nut.  I looked at the thread to see how to assemble it and noticed that my castle nut doesn't have the cut outs to stake it.  I was planning on staking the castle nut so what do I do?

Thread it on the receiver extension with the wrench cutouts forward (toward the lower receiver).
Tighten the castle nut and stake into the wrench cutouts .

that's what i was thinking of.  It was the opposite way in the guide to i just didn't know if it made any difference.  thanks
