When you get a new (or used scope) do you center the elevation and windage?

If the scope is new, the reticle should be centered.  If the scope is used, I will take a quick look and see if the reticle is at least close to center.  It won't really much matter once you go to sight it in anyways.  Here's a good spot for a couple of videos regarding reticle centering and scope mounting.  US Optics Instructions

Yes, I do. I also do it while it's mounted before a collimator to check out the apparent movement of the reticle. Plus, while I would trust US Optics to have their scopes centered before shipping, I wouldn't extend that trust to all manufacturers. Also, if I use more than 5 to 6 MOA of adjustment when initially mounting a scope, then it's time for me to recheck my work! Hope this helps.
