Hi to all...FNG on the forum and I have a question.

I am about to get my AR cerakoted. Talking to the shop that does it, they said they first want it stripped down totally. I mean right down to every single spring, pin etc. Is this the common procedure or do most folks do less of a stripdown and leave some parts uncoated. I assume it's just a matter of personal preference, but what is most common ?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a reason you don't want to ?

Do yourself a favor and go with norells molyresin. You can do it yourself it's almost idiot proof to a degree just RTFM, just as tough and exceeds lubricating properties from my tests.

Stripped.....  If not, when finished it looks like a car that was painted without masking off the tires, windshield, and chrome.

Go to "HOMETOWN" top center of the page under the LaRue banner then scoll down to Mother Fucking Cold, uh I mean Minnesota.

Ask for some help in your in your area on assembly/disassembly if you need it.

Also there is an extreemly good step by step picture tutorial on how to build your AR under the "AR-15" tab
