Looking into getting one one of these tube like creatures for cleaning my new S&W AR. My question is, are these things caliber specific??  They say for all AR15's, but not all AR15's are 5.56/.223 nowdays.

My case in point, my M&P15 is a 5.45x39mm.

Can anyone elaborate?  Thanks in advance!!

5.56, .223, and 5.54X39 will all take the same guide. If you have a caliber larger than that, I'd suggest E-mailing or calling Sinclair, Midland, or other outfits such as those.

I have the Pro-Shot,it uses a small O-Ring and I use it in my S&W&LM&T. It really makes the use of the cleaning rod Jags a simple task.

You can always BIY if you’re up to the task.

After looking around at bore guides, comparing prices, I assembled my own.

$20, not bad. Some bore-guides can go as far upwards as $30+.

I had the materials laying around to build my own, so that's what I did.
